I wanted to let you know that I purchased your book from Amazon and I couldn't put it down. It was wonderful. I enjoyed that it was written from the patients point of view. Made me think. My grandmother died of Alzheimers in 1995, she had it for at least 9 years. The beginning stages may have started earlier but she lived alone so we didn't see them. I could relate to your book in so many ways. The mailman had found my grandmother a few streets away from her house with no idea how to get home. When Alice was lost at Harvard it brought that back to me. I really enjoyed reading it from Alice's point of view, especially as she thought of her daughter as the mom. My grandmother had no idea who I was or who my children were. She just smiled when she saw us. My daughter was called the "girl". Thank you for writing such a wonderful moving book.

Hi Lisa, I am unfamiliar with them and so I read through their web site. Maybe you could start a thread on Writing Readers and see if anyone has dealt with them. Also, check out Book Marketing Network and post the question there. - Rita

Yes, Lisa, I would be pleased to be your friend. Your profile is very impressive — a Harvard-trained Neuroscientist, an actress AND and author! Your book sounds great. I just finished reading Rita Schianos, "Painting the Invisible Man."
    What an undertaking!

There's a very good review of one of my books on this very site. The title is FROM THUNDER TO BREAKFAST. Hube Yates was the storyteller, and I the writer. It's low-key Southwestern non-fiction.

If you're not too busy, go to http://authorsden.com/ggarrison.

And happy birthday to the new addition!

    Hi Alice,

Thanks for the friendship request! You're a Harvard-trained neuroscientist and I'm a Princeton-trained chemist, and we both write fiction. Funny, but also I'm sure you'll agree it's nice to use a different part of your brain!

I'll definitely check out your website. The book sounds fascinating, and I'm looking forward to reading it. My mother suffers from Pick's disease, so I'm sure it'll be a painful, but meaningful read.
