oh! i forgot to mention, at the first monday of the month sale at starkville's public library, there were boxes of sci fi titles for ten cents per book. there are a few kiosks that are avail any time, and i think one of them is sci-fi oriented; those kiosks are next to the circulation desk. but i think the best buy is the first monday fo the month sale. check it! grins, debra
i'm originally from PA, where big game lasts for two weeks instead of five months; when i first discovered how long the season tends to be in the South and how it's so warm, you could go in short sleeves...i thought, 'dude, thet ain't right, 'taint right at all'. actually, the first time i went 'hunting' here, i sat and read. it was nice and quiet and just the right environment conducive to reading and getting lost in my imagination {all without freezing my butt off}. i'm doing my part to raise the spending per capita on books for mississippi, grins, debra
DEar Steve: I saw that you gave DA VINCI CODE a good review. You might, then, be interested in my new novel HUNTING THE KING. The story revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O'Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother’s death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college. Now an archaeologist, she has been recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to discover whatever or whoever is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As an observant Catholic, she is scared that whatever she finds will have devastating consequences for her faith. There is a wonderful YouTube book trailer well worth watching if you have the chance. If you do get to see, please let me know what you think. Thanks. Peter
