I was born a poor white boy in a little hicktown up north (Willard: where the men are men & the sheep are nervous) in Ohio & moved to southwestern OH in 1998. Now I'm an older, pasty white boy who works too much (I teach & write young adult novels, therefore I'm insane).

    A satirical YA graphic novel sounds pretty insanely cool.

    I write...hmm, I kind of write everything. I wrote a memoir for my BFA thesis. I write a lot of poetry and a lot of short stories. I took a flash fiction seminar my last semester at school and totally loved it so I've been writing a lot of short short stories lately (some of them magical realism). But now I'm trying my hand at screenwriting. I already told you I would like to write YA, maybe a YA series. And eventually I'd love to write a play.

    Thank you for accepting it! I saw that you write young adult novels, which is something I aspire to do (eventually), so I therefore admire you greatly. I think I found you through stalking fans of Craig Thompson's Blankets, which is one of my absolute favorites.

    No sequel planned for Equilibrium just yet. I'm working on a new story/world when I have some free time from work. Equilibrium sales have been good though and I'm getting a lot of positive comments so that keeps me going ;)

    How about you? Working on anything new these days?

    I noticed you've been reading "Transmetropolitan", which was also created by the guy who does "Planetary", which I love. Do you know if they're similar? What do you think of "Transmetropolitan"? Is it as good? (Godland looks pretty intriguing as well...
