Hi Stefanie, welcome to Play Book Tag! Our tag for December is mystery! Once you read a book that fits this tag, you can post your reviews on the thread December tag: our collective reads. We also just announced the new tag for January, which will be music. This month, there are four additional tags which were chosen by the administrators of the group. These tags are disaster, ghosts, southern literature, and environment. If you read a book that fits one of these, post a review on the Special for December Only! Post Reviews for Three Extra Tags Here thread! (The title of the discussion says THREE tags but there are FOUR extra…technical glitch!)Starting after the New Year, we will be playing a game entitled Capture the Tag. Check out the PBT group to learn more about the game and to sign up to play! For answers to other commonly asked questions, please look over the FAQ for new members which is pinned to the top of our discussions. I saw where you really liked In Defense of Food...based on that, I would highly recommend The Omnivore's Dilemma! If you have any questions about PBT please don't hesitate to ask me!See you on PBT!Happy reading, Nicole
Hi Stephanie,We had to go private because the women were sharing some very private and personal thoughts. I want to discourage men from browsing or becoming peeping Tom's. We are a group of women and we discuss women issues. We have been discussing workplace dicrimination, sisterhood, breast and ovarian cancer, PMS, how to evaluate a prospective mate, what makes for a successful marriage, breast-feeding, menopause, verbal abuse, emotioanl abuse, caring for elderly parents, handling a special needs child, infertility and adoption, homeschooling and the discussions keep growing!! Come and join us!!
Please come join us in the group Women Speak.
Wasn't the Ishmael Beah book awesome? I saw that you put The Short History ofNearly Everything on your "to do" list. I read that a few years back, and I loved it.That definitely a book that I want to own. Have you read any of the Persepolis books?I read the first one, and I'm planning on getting the second one from the library.
