I'm pretty boring, really. I love reading (obviously, lol), anime, cross stitching and other crafts, as well as movies and so on.
I write a random/crafty blog - http://stardrifter.blogspot.com/ where I showcase some of my craftier work, and other randomness I find on the internet. Feel free to take a look if you like^^

Nice to meet you!

the Dresden books are fantastic. I've only read 3 of them so far, but love them. I know what you mean about a to read list. Mine is ever growing. Seems I'm always being told about a new author or book I have to read. And whlie it may keep things interesting, I do find myself sometimes reading when I should be writing my own books. But sometimes the books are just so hard to put down.

Oh, that was a good one. Have you ever read Good Omens? If you haven't and like Gaiman, you really need to read it. Good books I've read lately were Spider's Bite by Jennifer Estep, anything by Jim Butcher and now I'm reading Mark of the Demon and am enjoying it.

Oh don't worry. I understand how busy life can get. And even more when it involvles moving. I helped my mom move last fall and that was a long ordeal. I don't know if I'll be getting to Percy any time soon, but if you do, let me know what you think. And good luck with the move.

Did you ever try the Percy Jackson books. I understand that they are pretty good, though I haven't read any. I do love Harry Potter.

Oh, I saw the first 2 episodes of Toradora. Thanks so much for recommending it, I'm really enjoying this anime.

Sometimes the voices in the dubbed versions really bother me and the dialogue actually gets altered in a fundamental way. There are some dubs that I think are pretty good and then others that are just horrid.

People can be odd. Some actually wanted to ban Harry Potter too, so I believe it. I haven't seen the Golden Compass or read the books, are you enjoying them?

I'm reading Deathwish by Rob Thurman. It's the 4th book in an urban fantasy series about 2 brothers. I've read all other books and I really enjoy them.

Did you watched the subbed version or the dubbed. Personally, I prefer the subs. I think the voices and dialogue are much better. For the OVA's, the Tokyo Revolution 3-part series is fantastic. Little icky at times, but great. Sakura ends of pulling her weight and you finally get to a few of the secrets of the series.

If you like Clamp, I do recommend Holic. Especially if you want to learn more about Yuko. But I know what you mean. I still have to catch up on some Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Toradora, and Durarara episodes. Every now and then, I need to take breaks too. But some interesting stuff is happening in Bleach, so I need to catch up.

    Reading anything fun now?

I've seen Tsubasa too. Love Fai. Once you finish watching the series, you'll definitely have to see the OVAs. They skip a lot from the manga, but they are still interesting. If you like Clamp, have you tried Holic? I'm dying to see the Rou OVA, but I can't find it subbed on Youtube.

My 'to read' is huge too, and ever growing. I'm always find new authors or books I want to read.

Hmm, Toradora sounds interesting. I do enjoy a lot of the comedies. I think Ouran Host Club and Fruit Basket are just great.

Oh, Mononoke is also a great one, and of course Nausciaa is actually the first film by Miyazaki that I saw. Hmm, I haven't seen Gedo Senko, but I did hear about it. I've been interested in the Tales of Earthsea series so I was considering checking it out. I agree, Arietty sounds good, but I haven't heard when it is going to be available in the US. Do you know?

Hmm, I don't know Toradora. What is that anime about? My favorite Miyazaki would have to be Howl's Moving Castle and the 2nd is Spirited Away. Of course I love just about everything he's done.

The Sookie books are great. I certainly agree with that. If you like her, I recommend Kim Harrison and Jennifer Rardin is also good. I've read 2 of Jim Butcher now and love him. It's like reading an old noir detective story, but with warlocks and demons.

I read a lot of stuff that isn't urban fantasy too. I love James Patterson and Jeffrey Deaver. Right now I'm reading a murder mystery by a Japanese author that was just recently translated into english. I haven't gotten too far into it yet, but it's interesting.

Oh, thanks so much for adding my books to your to read list! If you get a copy of them, please let me know what you think.

Hi again. Sorry I didn't respond right away but things were pretty odd around here on the east coast with all the weather. Do you have any particular animes you like? I enjoy Bleach, Fulmetal Alchemist, and Ouran Host Club (to name a few). I also really love Miyazaki films.
In terms of urban fantasy, I like Kim Harrison, Jim Butcher, Rob Thurman and Charlaine Harris. How about you?
