Yes - to the title change resubmission. Did the other one ever get approved? You'll have to look in your edits list for it. I don't see it on the pending queue but that queue is so long, I may have missed it.

How do you do those special characters such as sigma and heart? Are there html tags associated with them or something? I've never seen them on a keyboard.

Sigh. 30 years in the Computer industry and I'm asking a Chicago kid about type fonts! ~smile~

Well this is embarrassing. Not only do I have a degree in mathematics, but, for many years, I taught and used the 6-Sigma approach to quality improvement! I didn't recognize the sigma character. My face is beet-red! The only excuse is that the type face displayed on the approval tool by my browser (Chrome) is so small I couldn't really tell what it was AND my keyboard doesn't have it as a character at all. It shows up beautifully however in your public note. Go figure.

Go ahead and leave the character on the title line but it might be helpful to follow it with "(Sigma)" for members who are as blind as I have proven to be! LOL

Don't know if that notation at the end of the 'new' title is a typo or not. The edit request might not be approved until we find out.

Sounds good. However, the mistake in that request that got away from me wasn't yours (at least not from this request.) It was an edition already combined to which you were adding more editions. That is why I missed it until it was too late for me to correct it. Wish I could remember which one but I processed about 1000 editions today so my mind is really fuzzy!

Hi,

Re your combine request for a book entitled Genshiken: The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture, Volume 1.

Your new edition was volume 8 but as all the editions in the target were also volume 8, I am approving them. Should this have a title change? You may have already submitted that but I wanted to mention it.

Also - one one previous edit just before this one (the record is no longer available to me), I realized just as I hit "submit" that one of the volume numbers in the already combined book to which you were adding new editions was numbered differently that all the rest. It was one of these Genshiken books but I can't remember which one!!
