Hey there,So how is Victory of Eagles, is it worth the read?
Looks like you finished Victory of Eagles already. What did you think? Eclectic shelf!
Vampires, Witches & Were’s all that would like to invite you to participate in the ABC contest starting on July 1, 2008.I will post a thread that has the letters of the ABC's list, then start your own thread for example mine would be Sherry's ABC's and list the books that you read with those letters has the first letter in any title of book, it doesn't have to be in the genre either. Each person will be responsible for sending me their points via the group email at vampireswitchesweresallthat@yahoo.com. For every book you read during the time period (until the next letters are posted) you will receive 10 points in the email you must list the title, author, and pages so that if there is tie, we will use page count to break the tie. Everyone is eligible to win, even admin's as a third party will be keeping track of the points for me...so post the books you read...I will post the first letters on July 1.As always happy reading.. Show me the books he loves and I shall know the manfar better than through mortal friends.~ Dawn Adams ~
Fellow Shelfari Friend,i recommend strongly you read:: How Wal-Mart is Destroying America. See what your conclusions are , and then share your thoughts top other consumers. Here are my thoughts...( note: I try to be a fair, siomple minded, common sense person at all times. This book has me a tad perturbed, to say the leastHere are my thoughtsIs anyone as Disgusted and Disturbed as I am after reading this book? I realize the author has a bit of a slant as he abhors WM, however it is downright scary. Can this company be any worse for America?Where do we start?Importing tons of CHEAP product from overseasGreedyTaking advantage of its workersBeating its suppliers out of business for its own gainKilling economies as they move into town.Utilizing and taking advantage of government subsidies to get their "boxes" built. So we all save 10 cents per box of popcorn or a gallon of cranberry juice. This to me sums up how silly we the American people are. We are outsourcing America to death. Pretty soon there will be no jobs so we won t be able to shop anywhere. Not to mention the service is awful. We the public have the final say and we CHOOSE to shop where we want. Will some peope read this and STILL shop there to save a few pennies?.. of course. however i think if most read this........ they ll choose to spend their dollars elsewhere.Walmart is , in my opinion eating America up. We all need to wise up here. I don t know of a situation where monopolies are any good for the consumer. Do you??Thanks,T A Smith, Creatorwww.Smile-Therapy.com
