    Blurb

Orphaned at 7, with no memory of her past or the family she lost, 17 year old Skye Martin is tired of being alone and afraid. After a hard night of partying, Skye wakes up alone in an unfamiliar hotel. All she can remember is the deep voice of her rescuer and his promise: “I am safe.”

Xander has been tasked with watching Skye from afar for the past two years, in order to keep her safe from the demons that hunt her. An easy job - until a pair of red glowing eyes reveal themselves to Skye, and Xander, in a moment of weakness, is forced to break his cover to protect her. Never good at trusting people, Skye is inexplicably drawn to Xander and the immediate bond she feels for him. However, Xander is filled with secrets and ties to her past that threaten to thrust Skye into a world she could never imagine existed…

As she begins to unravel the truth about who Xander is and the details surrounding her family, she discovers that she might just be the key to saving everything... And, most importantly, she finds that there has always been someone by her side who would never let her fall…

    Excerpt #4

Rioden bowed his head my way and told us to hurry up as he stepped out of the hotel room. Xander came up from behind me and smiled his beautiful smile of encouragement at me.

    “You okay?”

“Um, yeah, I think so. I mean, that’s a lot of information to put on a girl, you know?” I teased half heartedly.

He reached his hand up to my face and touched my cheek briefly, before pushing a strand of hair out of my eyes and gently tucking it behind my ear.

“You're not a girl - you're a Princess, remember? You are so much stronger than you know. You’ll see.”

Stepping back, he opened the door for me and his eyes twinkled as he added, “Come on Princess, let’s go eat.”

I started to walk by him stoically, like he hadn't said anything, and then my fist darted out and knocked him in the gut as I continued on out the door. Grasping his stomach as he shut the door behind me he groaned, “See? I said you were stronger than you knew!”

    Our Review

Wow ! What a fantastic read just loved it could not put the book down what a page turner this story was.Michelle G Miller is a new author for me and I have to say she didn't disappoint.I love it when I find new authors to read and fall absolutely in love with there works and writing. If Michelle continues to write stories like this she will be among my top favorite authors.

What a great cast of character's I love them all found them all to be loving caring respectful and a times a lot of fun to read about they all were so engaging that they kept you turning the pages to see just what would happen next.

You always have to have one favorite character and Xander would have to be mine. That hot Guardian bordered on being a saint ! That hottie makes a girls blood boil.I was I love with him from the very first pages what a considerate loving and caring individual and also one heck of a protector.Wish he were mine...LOL

Xander was chosen to be Skye's Guardian and has been watching over her for many years but, one fateful night he finally broke a rule and showed himself to her creating a whole slew of new problems for them both.Skye is a bit of a mess growing up in a group homes all her life and feeling so alone has driven her to partying to much and to make one bad decision after another until she meets Xander when her life is about to change . Whether its for the better is anyone's guess....

Xander has been chosen to be a Guardian to Skye's for a purpose as she really is a princess from another dimension and now in line to be Queen of her own realm. The kicker is she knows nothing of this and thinks everyone around her is crazy until a batch of demons try to dispense with her.Now she is starting to believe little by little. With no reconciliation of her past life she needs to put her trust in Xander to learn of the past and carve out a future whatever that may be.

Xander and Skye have a past although she does not remember him she has a strong bond and feels safe only when he is around. The two have a great relationship once Skye learns to trust and open up she starts to remember what they meant to each other and they start to rebuild there connection .Xander is in love even knowing it is forbidden he can't seem to not act on his feeling around Skye and Skye feels the same way towards him.So why not indulge there selves .....

Your heart breaks for this couple knowing that there relationship is doomed from the very beginning and even if it were not because of the forbidden laws those enemies among them will do everything to become between them.I am rooting for them they make a beautiful couple both loving loyal and caring and just perfect for one another.

The story that surrounds the lovers and is filled will tons of danger that is lurking at every corner. Keeping you on the seat of your pants just to see what happens next. The story was filled will love and romance and intrigue all the things that I love when reading a story. It was amazing to see Skye grow and become that strong confident person she always wanted to be. She blossomed right before our eyes.

Wow ! What a ending ! Can you say cliffhanger ? OMG ! I did not want the story to end.I am anxiously awaiting the next sequel. Can you say ?Sitting on pins and needle is more like it.A wonderful and cleverly written story and a recommend read to all whether young or old it needs to be in your to read pile.

You know you have written a fantastic story when the reader finishes the story and then goes back to re-read there favorite parts not wanting to let go quite yet. Into the keeper pile and will be a must re-read in the near future. We are giving this story a 5 star read !

    About Book

A night in London’s most exclusive bordello. Agent of the Crown Sir Martin Powell would not normally indulge, but the end of his time spying against Napoleon deserves a victory celebration. Yet, such pleasure will not come cheap. The auburn-haired courtesan he calls “Kitten” is in truth Katherine, Lady Egerton, a dowager baroness and the daughter of an earl as elusive as she is alluring. She flees a fate worse than death. But Martin has known darkness, too, and he alone can touch her heart—as she has touched his. To the English Midlands they will steal, into the rising winds of revolution.

    My Thoughts

First of all have to point out that this book has a beautiful cover. Reagan Walker is a new author for me and I have to say that I absolutely loved this story.

The story was a light fun romance read with a little bit of spy intrigue. The characters were great and enjoyable to read about.

I would have to say that Agent of the Crown Sir Martin Powell would have to be my favorite character. He his tall dark and handsome and at the same time he has a dangerous aura that says I am deadly don't mess with me. On the other hand he is compassionate and loving and found him to be a very funny and witty character.

I also loved Katherine .She had a very difficult life yet seemed to stay strong in spirit. She never seemed to complain and was a very talented artist.Even though events transpired making her husband look guilty she had enough common sense to believe that there was a rational explanation and did not just run off and desert her man.

Katherine and Martin came together under unusual circumstances but, no matter there odd encounter they seem to have a connection which led Martin to search out Katherine in order to make her his .

Once I started on the story I could not put it down .The characters were so intriguing that they had you thinking what is to happen next. The story had a slow budding romance which helped Martin and Katherine strengthen

there bond. Danger lurked at every turn for Katherine making you on edge thinking this poor women will she ever be at peace and feel safe again ?

The story was a page turner for me and had me up to the wee hours of the morning just to finish it. Would definitely recommend this read to all those other romance fans out there. It was my first book by Regan Walker but, It will not be my last will be definitely checking out her other works.

A job well done we are giving Against the Wind 5 stars. And this one goes into the keep pile to read again at a later date !

    BLURB:

As dragon shifters, Remy and Philippe had spent their lives searching for their perfect mate, and in Lilly Montague, they found her. But enemies from their past are threatening their happiness. Dragon law dictates that they must meet the issued challenge and face their enemies in battle. But when Lilly sees them in Dragon form, will she be able to accept them?

    EXCERPT:

    Excerpt One----VERY ADULT CONTENT!!!!

Lilly Montague smiled, her full lips curving upward as she savored the glide of her lover’s hand over her thigh. It had been only six months earlier that she had first met Philippe, in the very same exclusive club where they now indulged their desires. Sprawled atop him, her breasts crushed tightly against his chest and the hard ridge of his massive arousal pressed intimately into the juncture of her thighs, she savored the sensation. Still, there was something missing, or someone, more particularly. She was trying not to think about it, but her mind refused to cooperate. Lilly had two lovers in fact, two beautiful men who saw to her every whim and desire, as well as to one another’s. Rising on her elbows, she stared into Philippe’s handsome face, noting the honey-colored scruff that shadowed his firm jaw, highlighting the supple curve of his lips.

When he met her gaze, he sighed just a bit. “Stop thinking about it.”

Lilly’s sigh matched his. “I know he’s only been gone for a few days, but it feels like an eternity.”

Philippe’s hand moved farther up her thigh, disappearing beneath the hem of her skirt, and encountered nothing but bare skin. “You need a distraction, cher.”

Lilly shivered as his hand coasted over her behind, his fingertips lightly dipping into the cleft. “Don’t tell me,” she said. “Show me.”

It was only seconds later that she felt his lips on hers, claiming, ravaging her mouth in a hot, almost brutal kiss. His left hand fisted into her hair, using the dark locks to tug her head back. The other hand continued the sensual torment, sliding over the curve of her behind, between her parted thighs, his thumb circling the tight rosette while his fingers delved between dew-slicked folds. She let out a soft moan, unable to hold it back. There were other people in the club. The bartender was stocking the coolers with beer and other refreshments, and the new waitresses were in the storage room, doing inventory to make certain that all members’ toy chests were accounted for. Lilly thought of the first time she’d been in the storage room, seeing the various and sundry items that the club’s members used for their pleasure. Remy had been with her, his hot gaze like a physical caress on her body. She hadn’t known then who she wanted more, Remy or Philippe. It had never dawned on her to imagine that she would have them both.

“So wet, so hot for me,” he murmured, his teeth scraping over the sensitive skin of her throat. It wasn’t the first time he’d done that, and she knew it would leave a mark. But the delicious shivers arcing through her body made it more than worthwhile.

Remy stepped into the dimly lit interior of Dragon’s Lair, his own private domain. At the end of the hallway, entering the main room, he paused and took in the scene before him. On the far side of the room, in the private alcove reserved for the three of them, Lilly and Philippe were ravishing one another. The hot kisses, the sight of Philippe’s skilled hand pumping into the sweetness of Lilly’s cunt, had him hard instantly. He didn’t have to make a sound. Philippe looked at him over Lilly’s shoulder, and Remy felt the zing of connection between them. There was a fantasy building in his mind, a tableaux that he allowed to play out for Philippe’s benefit. It had been nearly a week since he’d had them, since he’d tasted either one of them. Other things would wait, but his passion would not.

Moving toward them silently, he began to remove his tie and then his jacket. By the time he reached the alcove, his shirt was unbuttoned and his cock was raging. Philippe was urging Lilly on, whispering hot, erotic things to her that did not leave any of them unaffected. Her top went first, some gauzy confection that only highlighted her feminine appeal. It landed in a dainty heap on the floor, followed by her skirt. Clad only in high heels and a black lace bra, she straddled Philippe’s hips, rocking against the massive erection he sported for her. Moving behind her, Remy slid his hands over her shoulders, down to the soft globes of her breasts. He closed his fingers over her nipples, pinching them with just the amount of force she liked. She shuddered and leaned back against him.

“I’m so glad you’re home,” she said on a dreamy sigh.

He smiled as he claimed her mouth, tasting Philippe’s kiss on her lips. “I’m glad to be home... I’ve missed you. Both of you.”

A wicked sequel filled with more adventure, thrills and sexiness!

Wicked As She Wants follows the handsome musician Casper Sterling (whom we first met in Wicked As They Come) as he meets his match in a wild blud princess that drives him crazy in more ways than one! Our story begins when Princess Ahnastasia is awakened by the sounds of music and finds herself near death and in a suitcase. The music calls to Ahnastasia but her bloodlust overpowers her senses that lead to a predatory encounter with none other than Casper, a Stranger she'll have to rely on in order to get back home and claim what's been taken from her.

I liked Casper from the moment I met him in Wicked As They Come and was super excited when I found out he would be the main character in the second book in the series...he needs his happy ending! Casper is on his own, doing what he does best, playing music and being a loner. He's a tortured soul who charms you with his easy going personality and flirtations. I knew he would need a fiery counterpart to break through all those walls and Ahnastasia's strong personality and devil-may-care attitude when it comes to Casper makes her a worthy love interest...even when their relationship starts off as a nightmare!

Ahnastasia is a formidable heroine and a great match for Casper. Ahna is a true Blud princess in every sense of the word and she flawlessly exudes all the superiority and regal qualities you expect. She comes off as a spoiled princess for most of the book (think along the lines of Claudia in Interview with the Vampire), making it difficult to connect with her character but I found myself warming up to her in those few moments when she let her guard down and shows a little vulnerability. Ahna's journey home to assert her throne was one of self preservation and self discovery. Casper and his teenage charge, Keen, give Ahna a dose of the tough love she's long needed and open her eyes to a whole new world, so to speak. The dynamic of these three characters is fantastic and keeps you turning the page.

The romance between Ahna and Casper is a little tumultuous, but organic. Sure, their first encounter almost ends in bloodshed, but luckily things take a turn for the better. It was fun to watch the flirty banter between them turn into something more. I kept my fingers crossed for some sexy moments between Ahna and Casper and Ms. Dawson did not disappoint! Each character is full of passion which makes for a red-hot romance that adds to the brilliant storytelling.

This second installment delivers an amazing adventure of vampires, airship brothels, pirates and yes, an appearance by none other than Van Helsing! Ms. Dawson's world building is phenomenal and puts you right in the middle of her victorian steampunkery, paranormal world of Bludmen and Pinkies...bloodthirsty unicorns included! The mix of history, the paranormal and pop culture is pure genius and makes the story truly stand out in the genre. I must confess I'm a huge Criminy Stain fan and was thrilled by his small cameo in Wicked As She Wants, but Casper won me over as the hero and intrigued me from beginning to end with his effortless sex appeal. Larger than life characters and unpredictability make this a supernatural adventure that's hard to put down. Delilah S. Dawson has made me fall in love with her characters all over again!

Review originally posted on Romancing the Dark Side:

A fun and romantic debut with a paranormal twist!

Liv Christianni is a young woman who's lived a somewhat lonely and isolated life due to her empathic abilities which she's always seen as a mental illness. When she crosses paths with a Spirit Stalker who's trying to steal her soul, Liv is rescued by the handsome Justice and learns she comes from a rare line of supernatural royalty which must be protected. With a Spirit Stalker hot on her trail, Liv must trust the brooding angel who's introduced her to a supernatural world she never thought was possible.

iFeel is a story about self-discovery and love. Liv's character is well developed, her inner struggle makes her easy to connect with on an emotional level. She's a young heroine at twenty-one, which usually isn't my cup of tea, but I think she handled herself maturely throughout the book's entirety, especially given the situation she's thrown into. Even with her "illness" she's pretty level headed, independent and exudes confidence. I'll blame some of her naivete on her age but overall I thought she has potential to grow into a strong heroine. She does come into her own by the book's end and I'm looking forward to see her discover more about her abilities as the series evolves.

The love interest, Justice, is a complex, tortured hero who reveals slivers of himself as the story progresses. He's been jaded by his immortality and life as a Spirit hunter but everything changed when he meets Liv. It was refreshing to see both characters who have deprived themselves of love fall for each other. My favorite moments are when they let the wall down and share intimate details about their lives to each other. I wouldn't label their romance insta-love but things came together a little too perfectly, I like a little challenge before the HEA.

The world building is something I wish Ms. Carmel would have given me more of. I found the Seraph and Spirit Stalker mythology intriguing but feel their history took a back seat to the developing romance between Justice and Liv. All of the supporting characters are charming and add a fun and flirty element to the story with their lively personalities. There are times where I felt I was in an episode of Gossip Girl with all the extravagance and wealth mentioned...and am still wondering what twenty one year old girl could afford Liv's fancy lifestyle?! The ending felt a bit rushed and I was left with a couple of unanswered questions that I hope the author answers in the upcoming installment.

iFeel is a wonderful start that merely scratches the surface of this intriguing paranormal world of immortals and magic. The plot is engaging and the characters are definitely entertaining. Ms. Carmel is a great storyteller who pulls you in with a sentimental romance and constant intrigue!
