I have been an avid reader since childhood. Once I pick up a good one, I can't put it down....which of course leads to insomnia & eyeball strains. What's on my shelf is such a small % of what has been sucked in through my pupils. At some point I hope to sit down and make a list to upload.
If, by chance, you have nothing to read and are in... more »

Sara, please forgive me for offending you. I got caught up in trying to settle the emotions of a group of women in a heated debate. I thank you for your suggestion for rules and they have been established. I wish to invite you back to Women Speak. We appreciated your active participation. You were a valuable member of the group and we hate to see you leave. Please, come back!

Hi Sarah. Welcome to the True Crime group. Hope you stop by often and chat with us.

I noticed in your bio you said you would like to upload a list of books you have read. Here on Shelfari you can put them on your shelf, then go to www.m.shelfari.com to make a printable list. I do this with my wish list when I want to go shopping or book sales.

I had posted comments but apparently that hasn't helped to stem the tide. I will post rules. Thanks for your advice.

I agree. They also said she was picked because she was a women as if there are no women in this country qualified. No matter how you slice it that's sexist. Anyway I'm going out to dinner at a winery with seven of my girlfriends this evening so I'm not stressing.

I got out on my own last. Unless your views are like theirs they gang up on you. They got mad because I used the work sexist. They were saying Palin should not run because she has children and she was picked because she is a women. That is sexist and they can't handle the truthy. There are some angry, depressed women in there that look for things to worry about. Then when Delta said "this could be a great country" that really pissed me off. Life is too short I don't need anyone killing my buzz. :)

I have not seen the movie The sin Eaters. I would think if it were anything like the book, it would be excellent!

I see you are new around here, you might enjoy Better than Starbucks
    http://www.shelfari.com/groups/23648/about

Better than Starbucks is one of the fastest growing literary/social groups on Shelfari, with good reason. the membership (not so much me, the founder) is literate and diverse, and by and large very intelligent. The name of the group comes from an argument that led to the founding.

You can check out the following thread to understand a bit the naming:
