Some parts of this book I absolutely loved. There were things that made me think deeply and appreciate the things in my life more. I was a little disappointed in the end and was looking for deeper insights into "love" instead of sex.

The Shack was a book that I needed to read. He is a good storyteller and found myself easily caring about all the characters in the book. Although initially uneasy about how he portrayed God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost I found a lot of symbolism in how they were portrayed. The message on forgiveness is powerful and many times found tears streaming down my cheeks.
The one thing that is the books downfall is that he tries too much to explain doctrine. Such as the Godhead/Trinity -- it's totally confusing and contradictory to my personal beliefs as are his view on the commandments and churches. This will keep many people away from the book from many different religious backgrounds - that would otherwise love and embrace the inspirational message.

I love this book. I have not read anything (except the scriptures) that has explained the atonement so well. It enlightens the mind and brings comfort.

I was told by many that this was a "must read". It took me 3/4 of the book to really get into it. The characters are whiny - especially Bella.

Shoot me if you will - but this wook was not a wower for me. The writing is good but the main character I find childish and whiny.

Pretty good book on OCD. Helps you understand it better but not too helpful in actually overcoming it.

I was suppose to love this book. It's the kind of book that I would love. It is fiction but the author claims it's true. That intrigued me and I did some research online. As I read I felt manipulated by the author as she tried to amaze me. It was a let-down for me.

A small book but absolutely amazing especially if you are at a place in life where you are struggling.

This is the best book I have read on OCD. Especially helpful for those who struggle mainly with obsessions and mental rituals. The techniques are sound and doable.

Every once in awhile you read a book that stays with you. This was that kind of book for me. A story of friendship, betrayal, self incrimination, and forgiveness. Loved it.
