I'm an English and French Lit major who teaches high school/Advanced Placement English Lit. I read a wide variety of stuff, but I usually use the library (no room for books) so adding books to my shelf is tricky given my almost absolute amnesia for titles and authors that I have read.     Hi, I just retired May 31, but I plan to do a lot of reading, and I would enjoy chatting with you. I had dinner in Houston, TX with one of your fellow countrymen. We were attending the national AP conference. Her name was Jodie, and I enjoyed meeting her. I have joined a book club in Eagle Lake. The Red Leather Diary was my first read with the group.     Soserene, I love your moniker (but I have to admit I didn't figure it out right away, even pronouncing it correctly--also not a good trait for an English teacher). I know what you mean about amnesia for titles. There's a book I read fairly recently from the library, and I can almost see it. The cover was sort of pink, or a pinkish mauve. And I remember really enjoying the book... oh, well.
