I am impressed with his depiction of Katla's blind love interest. No author has depicted a blind character so self reliant and sure of himself. This book has excellent sub-plots and the author brought it all together with a neat bow. Kudos to Martyn on this book. I can't wait to read more of Katla's adventures in future books.

There were also a few instances when the author jumped to another place and time leading the reader to wonder if they had skipped a page. This book had quite a few unexpected twists and an awesome plot. I will not put any spoilers in her but I will let you know that it was kind of Buffy the Vampire Slayer-ish. Plenty of action scenes with some underlying love interests. All in all a very good read. I give it a thumbs up. I look forwarding to reading more from this author.”
