Would anyone be interested using Skype for our book discussion? It's free & we can all chat with each other instantly.
I was thinking it might be interesting to use a service like Skype or Yahoo Instant Messenger for our book discussion. This way we can all talk instantly without constantly refreshing our browser. Let me know any concerns you might have on the idea. And if like the idea I can go ahead and set up a discussion group contact list. I'll just need your user ID to add you to the contact list.

We will be discussing Jemima J by Jane Green Monday, June 29th and for those of you who have read Yada Yada Prayer group book one, we will be discussing it Thursday, July 2nd. Let me know if you plan on joining in the discussion!

    Thanks,
    Melody

I started it and already finished it! It was really good! I loved the storyline and the characters. But with that said, it is definetly not a christian book! There is alot of language and sexual content. There was one chapter that probably could have been avoided completely as far as I'm concerened. But I still really liked the book, it was hard to put down! Although there was some definte negatives, I'm still very glad I read it!
Thanks so much for the books! I can't wait to get started on them!

    June's pick~ Jemima J by Jane Green

    Synopsis:
~Jemima Jones is overweight. About one hundred pounds overweight. Treated like a maid by her thin and social-climbing roommates, and lorded over by the beautiful Geraldine (less talented but better paid) at the Kilburn Herald, Jemima finds that her only consolation is food. Add to this her passion for her charming, sexy, and unobtainable colleague Ben, and Jemima knows her life is in need of a serious change. When she meets Brad, an eligible California hunk, over the Internet, she has the perfect opportunity to reinvent herself–as JJ, the slim, beautiful, gym-obsessed glamour girl. But when her long-distance Romeo demands that they meet, she must conquer her food addiction to become the bone-thin model of her e-mails–no small feat.

With a fast-paced plot that never quits and a surprise ending no reader will see coming, Jemima J is the chronicle of one woman's quest to become the woman she's always wanted to be, learning along the way a host of lessons about attraction, addiction, the meaning of true love, and, ultimately, who she really is.~

I see you're reading "A Walk With Jane Austen" - is that good? It's been on my shelves for like a year, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I saw on christianbook that there is a YA series coming out by an author named Stephanie Morrill that sounds really good.

I haven't read CIK yet, but am looking forward to it.

I am currently reading 'America the Beautiful' by Laura Hayden. It's the last book on my Fall into Reading list. Yippee.

    What's up next for you?

I didn't know Lisa had another teen series coming - do you know when? I am looking forward to reading more of the Carter House books - and I enjoy teen fiction, too. Must be because it makes me feel younger. *g*

Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? Mine was ok - didn't even go back to KS to visit family, but it was nice not to have to travel.

What did you decide to read? I just finished 'The Election' by Jerome Teel and it was really good.

It'd be great if Lisa would write another YA series. I currently am on the hold list at the library for INAM...but I have so many other books I'm trying to get read for reviews & challenges I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to read it.

What'd you decide to read next?

No, I haven't started it yet, but I just finished the last book I've been reading so I need to go pick it up at my library! Yes I am on Facebook, just look up Melody Steiner. I have the same picture on there as I do on here. I'm also on Myspace, same name & probably the same pic as well. I'm so glad my life is starting to settle down a little more lately (of course Christmas will be here soon) I'm really looking foward to reading Friday Night Knitting Club and some others on my shelf! Has life been crazy for you too? I have 3 little ones and they keep me on my toes!

Actually, I had to buy a copy of Single Sashimi in order to get it read in time for the tour. LOL...I didn't mind, though...my copy came two days after my tour post, so I'm going to use it as a gift!

I'm kind of focused on trying to finish the Elizabeth Peters novel now...it's pretty good. And I love Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon! Let me know what you think of those films!

I really enjoyed Faking Grace, and I have both Romancing/Goodbye Hollywood Nobody on hold at the library. I am currently reading The Longing by Beverly Lewis. I'll probably read Let Them Eat Fruitcake after I finish that.

Our days are just about perfect temp-wise these days - high 50's at night and around 80 during the day.

    Have a great week. *smile*

I really enjoyed Miracle Girls - can't wait to read the next one. I just finished Hazardous Duty - now I definitely have to get my hands on Suspicious Minds. *grin* Whatcha reading now?

I'm not quite ready for fall - we've had such a weird summer weather wise, and it really hasn't felt like summer the whole time. We're supposed to have lows in the 50's and highs in the high 70's to around 80 for the next week - and no rain *yea* (We got almost 5 inches after Ike passed through here Saturday and Sunday. *bleh*)
