I guess I'm new to the world of reading as I only started reading with a passion in October 07. I did read some Anne Rice books as a teenager, but since then nothing. I know that's shameful to admit, not the reading Anne Rice part, but the lack of reading in general. However I am doing my best to make up for the error of my ways now. I'll... more »

Hi, I have just read 'Rum Punch' made into a Tarantino film called' Jackie Brown' and although there were slight differences, mostly it was similar to the film and enjoyable to read. I have ordered book 2 in the Southern Vampire series, Dead in Dallas I think bt I am knitting and crocheting plus have more Christm as cards to make so I am rather busy to read all the smaller print books I have that I own. We have had sunshine but also showers and rain or grey skies.

Yeah they can be, it's hard to admit for a die hard like me but the Carpathians are not for everyone. Feral Warriors is by Pamela Palmer and the author pulls a Lara Adrian/JR Ward thing, and one each book is about different warrior. I enjoyed them but the sex gets repetitive, in the first books its like, "ooohhhh YEAH," but after the first two all I could think was, "again with the fingers?!" lol. But yeah I'd recommend them.

    Hi Sol,

Don't worry about when you get back to me; I'm in the same boat. It’s just nice that you did. Life is crazy this year for some reason, there is always something going on or that needs to be done. Sorry to hear about you not feeling well, but it’s good to hear your getting better.

"Nicolas" was an excellent read, however I haven't read all of Raine -like I said, it kind of thru me off with the funny business. As for the Feafever Series I couldn't get into the first book, but I plan on going back to it, I hear it’s really good.

Yes, the Carpathians are kind of repetitive but I loved it none the less. Though there are alot of other great authors out there in comparison.

Though I've been extremely busy with life's demands, I've still been reading. Reading the Immortals after Dark was like so fun, I loved that family of characters and my favorite was Rydstrom and Sabina, what a wacked-out couple they were, but so passionate towards each other. And if you’ve read the series you gotta love Nix. I enjoyed the Feral Warriors by P. Palmer, which has a different twist in shifters. HOWEVER, I'm reading the Psy-Changiling series, right now, which is extremely awesome. I love this series and its characters. I like the mix of a futuristic-shifter style theme. It’s really a page-turner and there is alot of action and it’s a very vivid read. I highly recommend this series.

What are you reading right now?

    Hi Solitaire!

    Glad to hear from you:)
Business is still limping along. Our family is still trying to survive on less than a 1/3 of our normal income with 2 kids in college. Oh well ...
It's good that you're business is still going strong. With the recession, I figured some people would just let things go.
What's going on with your health? (... if you don't mind me asking.) Are you back out in the world or in bed at home?
Yup, the upside is that there's been a glut in the market of excellent books. Check out my shelves :)

Hey stranger...I'm glad to she you back.

Okay that is cool, I'll see your e-mail later on, no worries. Well if you're not online this weekend, we will catch each other somewhere next week. Of course you have to entertaint your cousin and going out...I'll try to be more online from now on.

Jeez...the Book fair thing is ages ago...LOL...just joking....Well I did get a few more books, I think about 15 books...I know that much, but its not all paranormal, I also got some regency and one thriller. And I bought some children books for my nephews, so it was a good day.

I know what you mean about the huge pile, I have one too...I'm trying hard to not buy to much books and read my pile away...I do hope by the end of the year my pile will be gone...then I can make a new one...LOL...

Hmmm.....nope no news or gossip....nothing changed in my life...just working and reading..LOL....I just gave my boss two Friday's off, so I can have two long weekends...oh yeah, I need that...Just like you I'm looking forward to the Xmas holidays...a few extra days off...that is a good thing.

Marisa is doing good, still crazy as ever...lol....like me she is working hard and have little time to be online of on Shelfari....

I'm doing well. Fall is here and loving every minute of it. By Springtime I will be so ready for Summer. Okay the reason I ask was because someone mentioned that not many people celebrated Halloween in England ( I think she's from England) anyway I thought it was odd so I thought of you :) since you're from Ireland. As far as I know it did start there and we did run with it. She might have been talking about the neighborhood where she lives. Yes I did have a good Halloween, got beer and pizza and watched horror movies. The old black and white ones. No, nothing wild :( I hope you had a good one.

I loved Bloodfever! My favorite part was when JZB told Mac that some of the best people have been broken at least once. If you hate cliffhangers....you are going to hate Dreamfever. I'm still in shock.

    Great hearing from you!!!
