You mentioned that you wish Phillip Pullman's books were going to be made into a movie. You get your wish! It's out at the end of this year! http://www.goldencompassmovie.com/

So Valley of the Dolls as a Top 10 ... that was always one of my "curious to read it" books... what makes it worthwhile still?

Yes we do have extremely different taste in books... But thats what makes us such good friends!!!!
I am reading "The Lost Life of Eva Braun" by Angela Lambert. She is a German author who researched Eva Braun's diaries, interviewed her family members and former members of the Nazi Party to find out exactly what her role was to Hitler and whether of not they had a normal relationship or if she was a party to a more sadistic relationship that we would expect out of Hitler. Its really interesting and hard for me to put down....

I'm still reading "Never Eat Alone". It's that book I have to read b/4 the PCG conference in Vegas next week. It's pretty good. I'm kinda excited to meet the author (he's speaking at one of our brainstroming sessions). Should I be that dork that get's my book signed! Ha ha!

The Tipping Point ~ I saw that one. We read that for one of our book clubs. I can remember finding some things in that book very interesting. I totally forgot about that book though until I saw it on your shelf! Have you read it recently?
Life of Pi, I can't remember much. Which isn't a good thing in my book. I think the one thing that I remember talking about was learning some things about animals that I never knew before.

hey sarah! I loved Kiterunner. There are some extremely intense scenes (a rape and some other brutal stuff). However, I think it all adds to the overall effect the author wanted. It was good to see a different perspective of Afganistan before the Taliban and after they came and what it all did to the that region. I don't know that I'd take it to the beach and read b/c it's so intense!
Sarah, it looks like I should read a book by the Chuck guy! Which one of those would you recommend I read first?
