This is a typical book that deals with high school. You have the geeks and the popular kids and the dorky boy who wants the beautiful popular girl but it does go deeper than that. It examines the relationships you have with people in a wonderful way and for that I liked it. I found myself getting very quite annoyed with the lead female character, Margo, but I must admit John Green is a very funny writer. I can imagine this being turned into a really fun teen movie.

The beginning starts are really slow but it gets better towards the middle. I wish it ended better. I liked it but it was my least favorite of Yamada's.

The characters were a little one dimensional and were full of cliches which got a bit annoying and it was a little tedious in the middle but, overall, I did enjoy this book and must have liked it because I didn't stop reading it. It was quite sad and made me think about what would happen if I were put into that situation. My favorite characters are Mia and her grandparents. They are the most real.

After Tartine, this is my favorite baking cookbook ever! Full of delicious, crazy, and definitely sticky, chewy, messy and gooey treats. Super amazing.

I really enjoyed this book because it was different from all other teen vampire books popular right now. While I enjoy Stephenie Meyer's romanticized portrayal of vampirism it was good reading a different perspective. In this book, vampires are fragile, weak, and sick. The vampires are in a support group and they do not prey on humans instead limiting their diet to one guinea pig a day. They live their daily lives in secret and without danger until a member of their support group is murdered and then the adventure starts to find the killer and save themselves. The book is definitely worth reading. I especially liked all the references to Stephenie Meyer, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Underworld, and Harry Potter. Quite funny.
