“Being someone who is obsessed with paper, prints, patterns and textiles I adored this book! There are some really neat projects in this book like Bird's Nest Bowls, Fluttering Mobile, Shadow Forest Wall Hanging, Just A Note Stationary Set and Folder, Monogrammed Journals Sets and tons of keepsake and gift boxes and bags. What I most like are most of these projects require no more than 3 hours of your time and a few just 4 hours. You can complete all of these projects in one day. The book has lots of photographs of the process and finished product as well as really really helpful instructions.”

Salty Sweets: Delectable Desserts and Tempting Treats with a Sublime Kiss of Salt

“There are some seemingly good recipes in this book though I have yet to try any. I've never tried salty sweets so I wonder how I would like them. Most of the recipes call for sprinkling of various types of salt over the baked good. What I most like about the book are the frosting and sauce recipes. Blackberry-Caramel Sauce, Strawberry-Brown Sugar Sauce, Chocolate Frosting and Caramel-Fudge Sauce. I least liked that many of the recipes do not include a photo which brings down a baking book significantly in my eyes.”

The Entomological Tales of Augustus T. Percival

“I was first drawn to this book at the library because of the cover and the cute illustration. I really thought it would be a book I would love. Cute, girl heroine, mystery, set in the early 1900s but I ended up not liking it at all. I think my main complaint is of the title character, Petronella, the heroine of the story. I found her a snobby, TOO lovestruck, annoying, flat, boring character. After that all I could think about while reading it were all the things I didn't like. The plot was difficult to follow, the Victorian language a bit over the top, and it never really gets interesting. It just drags on until the lackluster ending when the mystery is solved. This is a series and the other has two more books coming out but I won't be reading them.”
