The History Non-Fiction Group is voting for the Oct-Dec Quarterly Group read. We've had several interesting books nominated. Please take a look and vote if you'd like to join in.

I see you have Thomas Jefferson on your shelf. The Chronological Read of American History Group at http://www.shelfari.com/groups/34700/about has selected it as the September read. Hope you can stop in and join the conversation!

    LOL, good response!

I have no idea when or how I got hook on linguistics. Perhaps it all started about the time I started playing with building my own programming languages, as a means to get rid of line numbers in Applesoft BASIC. :D

As you can tell from my bookshelf, I have a particular fondness for ASL. No idea why, other than some inexplicable urge that I can recall starting when I was a fairly young lad.

Hello, I am from Kerala, a southern state of India. I found the book Japanese Death Poems in your future reading list. I am also a lover of Japanese classics, especially zen and haiku poetry and I have translated some of them into my language, Malayalam. I would like to know how you came to this book.
