Author is Miranda July...I just finished it last night it was due monday...oops i guess i'll have to pay a fine lol...Anyway I like shortstory books I might add that group to my shelf, this one is funny in a real surprising kinda way...At times her humor and words are so unexpected its kind of jarring...forwarning some stories could be considered R-rated

Thanks for the note you left on my profile. I've really enjoyed the Janis Harrison gardening series, but it's the only series of that sort I have read. However, I do know that Ann Ripley and Rebecca Rothenberg also write gardening series. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I'm not sure if you've bought Whale Song already, but I thought you might be interested in this:
As part of my month-long virtual book tour, today's special treat is an excerpt from my new bestseller Whale Song, a novel that will change the way you view life...and death.

    I ONCE FEARED death.
It is said that death begins with the absence of life. And life begins when death is no longer feared. I have stared death in the face and survived. A survivor who has learned about unfailing love and forgiveness. I realize now that I am but a tiny fragment in an endless ocean of life, just as a killer whale is a speck in her immense underwater domain...

    Read the excerpt.

Thanks for accepting me! :) And I am sure you will enjoy Whale Song, based on the novels you've read. It is my "heart book" and a portion of my royalties is going to help 3 major Edmonton charities.

I am going to start reading Lovely Bones next...whenever I can sneak some time away from writing...lol

Hi I found you because you're a member of Latino/Latina Literature. I've been trying to get a discussion going about Latin American/Hispanic/Latino(a) literature. I'm a member of three groups devoted to the genre (I am the creator/admin of one) but I can't seem to get a discussion going! Would you like to join my group and maybe if we have some more members all in one place we can get some movement? My group is called Latin American/Latin Caribbean. Artemis

PS There's also a mommy lit group I started that you might be interested in.

Well, since I've only read 3 Christie novels I'm not informed enough to answer your question. I really enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express; do you have any suggestions for my next Poirot novel or first Marple book? (And Then There Were None is, so far, my ultimate favorite.)

About Kid B, as far as writing, it was decent. I was really agitated with the portrayal of the b-boy/b-girl world being parallel to that of gangbangers. As someone who danced from the mid 1980's on, this was a false look as far as I'm concerned. Overall, 3.5/5 for me.

As far as I know, there aren't any other books. And that makes me very sad, because I loved Shadow of the Wind so much.

I am currently reading the first book of the Dark Hills Divide series. It is good so far. The cover is what drew me in. You should check out Percy Jackson and the Olympians series they are wonderful! Since you teach preschool I wonder if you have heard of the book: The Sound of Colors. It would be a great book for that age. The illustrations are some of the most interesting I have ever seen.

Wow ! A preschool teacher ! That is awesome !! My daughter is in preschool and she has this great teacher who I am soo thankful for. I think that is so important because it is their first exprience of school !! As for my hubby, he is a musician. So he got the book to help inspire his creative process..And me, I like to write fiction, erotic stories, poetry...Nothing that I have ever submitted before though...eeek !! :) What are your favorite things to paint?

I love Montgomery's books. They were my favorites as a child, and they have remain among my favorites even as an adult. I recommend reading "The Story Girl", which was supposedly Montgomery's own favorite as well, or "The Blue Castle" which is a little more of a romance. If you ever get a chance to go to Prince Edward Island, it's definitely worth it. I'm planning my fourth trip there for this summer.
