I'm pretty much your average joe. I'm married to my best friend, Chance. We live near Austin, TX and have the two best dogs on the planet, Brewster (the miniature Dachshund) and Freddie (the Border Collie mix)...who do a pretty good job of keeping us entertained. I'm pretty much the most OPEN BOOK you've ever read...so if you've got any... more »

Hi, I found your bookshelf very interesting. A lot of new authors whom I have never read. I hope I can follow your reading :-)

I am so glad you liked it!! The two books are different plot-wise but very similar structure-wise.
Thanks for telling me -- your note made my day!

Hey Claire (one of my favorite names!) -- thanks for writing back.
I go to lots of book clubs and give talks about books but shelfari and goodreads are kind of like one big book club (without the wine and cheese).
I hope you like the books and I'm glad we're connected.

If you found Still Alice interesting, you might be intrigued by The Bird House (Simon & Schuster) which the Library Journal called “a great title for book clubs, and especially fans of Lisa Genova’s Still Alice.”

Thanks so much – happy to connect on Shelfari if you’re up for it.

Interesting. Not your run-of-the-mill plot. I liked it a lot, except for the way it ended. Definitely worth reading.

Let me know if you llike Memory Keeper's Daughter. Its not like the Time Traveler's Wife! Did you really like Lovely Bones that well? Read "The Shack" if you can.

Yes, I've read the Nicolas Sparks books. Some from the library, and I picked up a couple at Walmart earlier this year. I'll share with you the one's I have. I really like his writing.
