I'm the quintessential bookworm. Friends often ask me how I find time to read as much as I do. There are a few things going on there. 1. I don't work (well, I do, but only 3-5 days a month). 2. Both of my children are in school. But most importantly. . . 3. I *always* have a book with me. Doesn't matter if I'm in the kitchen cooking, in... more »

    Dear Simcha: I am an author from Massachusetts. My debut novel HUNTING THE KING was published in April. If you enjoy reading a good thriller like DA VINCI CODE, you may enjoy HUNTING, too. HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O’Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: “Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can’t come too soon.” Molly O’Dwyer is an in-your-face woman with a mysterious background who’s about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

    To get a good sense of how powerful the book is, check out the heart-pounding book trailer on YouTube or on my web site at www.peterclenott.com. It is like watching a preview for an exciting movie. The novel is equally exciting.

    You can find it on Amazon.com, Borders, Barnes & Noble. I hope you’ll take a look. And let me know what you think.

    Thanks. Peter.

    I am the Moon everywhere and nowhere.
    Do not seek me outside;
    I abide in your very life.

    I invite you nowhere except to yourself.

    Have you read Patchett's "Truth and Beauty"? It is one of the most touching books ever. I saw you have a few of her books on your shelf (although I confess I didn't go through your entire shelf). I also saw we have a few reads in common. I'm just getting my shelf set up. Have a great night!

    I see you rated Dead Watch by John Sandford as a "really liked it". I enjoyed it too. Sometimes I get annoyed with the "cute" Prey names (Hidden Prey, Shadow Prey, Birds of Prey, Osprey, etc...) for his Davenport Novels. It's really hard to remember which is which... However I do enjoy his novels. I see you haven't logged in for a while. Hope you are enjoying the summer!

    I enjoyed your note. I passed my love of reading to my grandchild.... I tried with my 2 kids, but it didn't work at first. My daughter(39) is now reading lots of self help as she is going through a divorce. Her 3 kids are readers. I started taking them to the library at age 6 months and read to them there and at home. I spent more money on them for books than I did clothes ( and that was alot). I even joined a mother-daughter bookclub with my granddaughter when she was 13 (3 yrs ago). Keep up the reading.....
