Hi Sammie! You asked about good Christian books...so many to choose from! There is one on my shelf- "Hansi"- an autobiography of a German girl- that I read when I was about 11 years old, and it strongly influenced my decision to become a Christian. If you want a non-fiction "What is Christianity all about" type book- "The God Questions" by Hal Seed is an easy read. And for good Christian fiction, "This Present Darkness," by Frank Peretti is great.

    Hi Sammie,
Thanks for the invite! The Host is awesome isn't it? Did you read Eclipse yet? I see that it's in your to be read pile. I devoured all three books in 3 days; I couldn't get enough of it. I'm anxiously anticipating the end of the month for the release of the new Eclipse editions with Breaking Dawn excerpts in it. 2 more weeks to go!
I also saw you like Blindness. Did you know they are releasing a movie version this year? Saramago painted a very vivid & harrowing picture of the chaos that I don't think any movie could do it any justice.

Thanks for telling me about Brida. After reading your over-view, I think I will pass on that one- while I enjoy reading about different cultures and beliefs, as a Christian I tend to stay away from books with witchcraft in them.

So, you are in the Philippines? What is your favorite book that is about/set in your country, either fiction or non-fiction? I have heard a lot about it from my Philippino friends, but haven't read much.
