I dig Osteen & his inspirational messages. Sometimes they mention Jesus specifically. I tune my ears to hear what to others sounds like "Jesus" I hear that it sounds like "He's Us" i.e. God is Us. All I can say is that if you like Osteen's other book then you'll like this one too. For me it's just reaffirming. All that I know I already truly know inside me. It's just bringing it to the forefront as a re-mind-er. Ever notice that in the word "reminder" mind is surrounded by not one but two mirrored re's? It's there to reflect our mind back at us from all sides.

The last book in Conversations With God series, Home with God: In a Life That Never Ends, was truly inspirational and life-changing for me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conversations_with_God

Rant was my favorite Palahniuk book by far. It was really mind-opening- much further than his other books. It spoke of different situations that could or could not exist. To me that's exciting. Not so much spiritual as it is exospiritual.

The Alchemist AND Conversations With God? Es muy bueno Jovi! Didn't know you went down that path of books. I pretty much live off of those types of books. ;D

    hey there!
i will start with "The Stand" once i finish the book i am currently reading. Then, i will go for more SK books, if the book can manage to "WOW" me. (which i think it will)

You can have a look at my shelf. I guess you will pretty much notice that i am a hard core fictional fan. :)
i cant seem to stand self-help books. (frankly, they are above my grade, i wont understand them ;) )

Hope to incorporate some SKs soon into my shelf :)

Hi Jovi! I'm from the Author Author group and just wanted to welcome you to our group. February's "featured" author is Jane Smiley, and we have two "secondary" authors, James Michener and Geraldine Brooks. If you're interested, you can choose a book written by one of these three authors, and after you've read it, please come post a review and star rating so the rest of us in the group know what you read and whether you liked it or not. Happy Reading!

We'll be announcing the authors for March shortly, so stay tuned!
