Well, I love books that teach me more about religion. I am trying to get into fiction books more, but I find that I am extremely picky as to which fiction books I will actually finish. Check out my shelf and send me any recommendations!

Hi Megan. I just finished reading the Roberts and Rombout translation of Ireneaus' 'Against Heresies', and have a newfound interest in Christian Gnosticism. Thanks for your review of April DeConick's 'The 13th Gospel' - based on your review and recommendation, I will purchase and read this book as soon as I can. Thanks..!!

Megan, I am halfway through the book, 'He That Cometh: The Messiah Concept in the Old Testament and Later Judaism', by Sigmund Mowinckel. After browsing the stuff you have on your shelf, I think this is the kind of book you might enjoy. Mowinckel goes through all the relevant passages, and shows what are and what are not Messianic prophcies, and what they may have meant to the authors. Yes, it is scholarly, but judging by some of the stuff on your shelf, you should have no problem understanding any of it. Click on my shelf, you will see it there if you are interested.
