My favorite authors are Barbara Kingsolver, Cormac McCarthy and Joseph Conrad. I like less dialogue/plot, and more a glimpse into a character's life for a period of time.

I also love nonfiction, especially books having to do with economics, Darwin, adoption, law, ethics, Africa, or the environment.

This was a fun, quick read. It was a mystery with some elements of fantasy, but a lot of reality, since it takes place in a book store in San Fran. Lots of google references, and also involves a trip to NYC.

I'm 1/2way through this and already just as enchanted as I was with Bel Canto. The premise is so mysterious and yet so real ... my favorite part is just how much it harkens to Heart of Darkness, and I can't wait to see where it takes me!

Fantastic for people who have no clue what meditating is, don't know where to start, and especially (like me) are pretty sure they don't have time to figure it out.

Great to read excerpts out loud to a friend or at parties at your house. Pretty funny.

Fascinating profile of someone who goes after what he truly loves, even though everyone else thinks he's nuts.

I watched the documentary and it was totally eye-opening. Now I'm using this book and other resources for great FOK recipes. In terms of health, I feel more amazing than I ever have.

I read this out loud with a friend - we took turns. It was amazing because both of us would crack up, sometimes to the point of holding our stomachs with tears in our eyes. It's a fun read, but I'd really recommend trying it with your best friend/significant other!

This is a spectacular book for learning to read faster without sacrificing comprehension. I used it when studying for the LSAT and it shaved a lot of time off my reading so that I was able to answer the questions quickly and move on.

It has also helped me read a whole lot more - the faster I read, the more I can cover! :)
