I'm a long term Alaskan and former Oregonian. Recently retired, I'm loving the limitless time to read. I love American History and am branching out recently into the history of Great Britain. I've been a Civil War buff all my life and also love the history of the west, having grown up close to the Oregon Trail. The last several years I've added focus on Revolutionary War and WWI - WWII and have SO much on my tbr list.

I've been an avid reader my whole life. My current fictional reading is focused on historical mysteries set in England: Anne Perry, Jacqueline Winspear, Charles Todd, Alan Bradley, Rhys Bowen, etc. Meeting others who enjoy the same subjects would be wonderful and I look forward to receiving new author/book recommendations here. « less
