    greetings,

'lovelight music' is a group formed to explore books about healing with music.

the current discussion is "Music and Healing -- Is it possible with popular music?"

Diva JC kicked off the discussion with some very interesting insights and suggestions about healing with popular song based on her 33 years of world-wide performance, singing jazz and blues.

please feel free to join the 'lovelight music' group and discuss music therapy – especially as it might apply to the genre of popular music. or just join 'lovelight music' group and tune in from time to time to add a book to the group shelf or to find out what other musicians are discussing. any comment you care to offer will be greatly appreciated.

drop me a note if you have any questions.

may peace and harmony reign in your life.

I saw in one of your posts that you are reading "This is Your Brain on Music". I just got the book from the library a few days ago but I haven't started it yet. How did you like it? Is it a quick read, or slow go? If it's the latter I'd better buy it so I don't have to pay a massive late fee at the library. BTW, nice shelf. I got a lot of good ideas for future reads from your shelf.

    Hey Shelli,

Thanks for the Mick/Keith book rec. I ordered it last night. Sounds really good. I'm currently reading Truth!...: Rod Stewart, Ron Wood and the Jeff Beck Group. I ordered it from Amazon UK and unfortunately can't add it to my shelf. Pooh! Hopefully the will fix that soon. I've noticed anything from Amazon UK that I've ordered I can't add.

    Hey Shelli,

thanks for the mick/keef book rec. i think anyone should be able to add books to the shelf on the Music Lover's shelf. If not, let me know and I would be happy to also make you an admin. Nice to meet someone else who loves music as much as I do.

I noiticed we have a few books in common. I love Esther Hicks stuff and Gary Zukav's book, "Dancing WuLi Masters" had a huge impact on me back in the 1970's. Nice to see people still reading JL Seagull too:-)

Maybe you'd like to check out my page.

Hi Shelli! Looks like we have read some of the same books. I just started on this website. Like you said in your profile, I have been unable to remember all of the books I've read...or found time to upload them. This seems fun so far. I found all sorts of books on your shelf that I would like to read (especially on your page 6). Do you have a particular one that you would recommend? I was particularly interested in the syncronicity / coincidence books as well as the tao books. Well hope you are having a great day! Sandy
