Search for your Daddy on Shelfari. I set up an account for him so I can keep track of what he has read and what he hasn't. later I will show it to him. Name: Barney Kane. Email will come to me.

We lose out on good friendships that stretch us to grow in comparing one another or things. Thanks for becoming my new friend.

Why yes! I loved _Finn_. I can take dark, and I used to know someone that made the character Finn look like a boy scout. :) Have you read any Daniel Woodrell? I read _Death of Sweet Mister_ this summer and was blown away. I chose not to write about the book or talk to anyone about it, but I handed it over to hubby who enjoyed it too.

I like nautical tales, but _Billy Budd_ felt like Melville was torn. His Christian symbols mixed with homosexual aspects was very intriguing. Another read I believe I chose not to write an article about, but mentioned breifly on my blog. I could tell Melville struggled and never quite got it the way he wanted. Others should have left the story unpublished because I do remember it was found unfinished after his death.

_Ahab's Wife_ looks good. I bought it way back when and have yet to crack it open. :)
