“A creative tale of a futuristic utopia where humans are genetically manipulated lab creations; uninhibited, emotionless promiscuity and hedonism are virtues; mother is one of the most obscene terms known to man; everyone belongs to everyone else and individualism is scorned and punished; and blissful happiness can be found in a capsule. I wanted to love this book but found the ending quite disturbing and unsettling, not the least of which because some of the characteristics that mark the World State are so similar to those in our own.”
