I was able to get a 2 cd copy of a talk Paul Young gave at our church a few months ago. I was unable to attend. What an incredibly humble man!!

I am reading Divine Nobodies. A great follow up to The Shack.

    Thanks for your encouragement.

    Hey Sharon -

Thanks for casting your ballot for the Christian fiction read in Women of Faith. The top choice is “Healing Stones” by Nancy Rue and Stephen Arterburn. I'll post the first discussion question on August 1st. Hope you can join us!

I must not have answered your note. thanks for the info about Paul Young. I am rereading the Shack and plan to re read it again when I finish. I find so many of my own questions there and the answers hold such hope. I know everyone doesn't approve of The Shack, but I find nothing but hope and an encouragement to trust God moment by moment.

Wow! So you got to meet Richard Foster. What an honor! If he's ever in our area, you can be sure I'll be in the audience. What amazes me about the book, CELEBRATION OF DISCIPLINE is that he was quite a young man when he wrote it. So much wisdom. I am always looking to see what new books he's written so thanks for the info that he plans to spend more time writing. By the way, my friends call me "Cindy" so feel free to use that salutation in the future! My mother called me "Cynthia" and while I like my name, I think "Cindy" suits me better.

No, I never read any of the Montgomery's books and, in fact, discovered the Anne of Green Gables stories via video as an adult. I now own all of the stories in VHS tape. I plan to convert them to DVD and give copies to all the young girls in my family since I think the stories are timeless. I love Megan Follows, the Canadian actress who stars in the series. When I was a media specialist in a Christian school we had all of the VHS tapes and books and both were checked out constantly! They are truly timeless.
