It was good! Some repeat info from other similar books I've read. I've been on a memoir kick lately. Now I'm reading My Lobotomy. Interesting life this guy had. Yes Irving is very good. I have two of his I still need to read on my shelf at home.

Did you know that the Not-A-Box author also wrote Not-A-Stick? Miranda enjoys that one too! Cute books.

I enjoyed them both but wouldn't mark them as favorites. They were entertaining. Asylum was interesting because it was hard to believe anyone could really act in that manner. Replay was interesting because it's the story of a guy who gets to relive this 25 year period of his life over and over and it's neat to see what he does different each time. Now I'm finally reading Fast Food Nation even though I never eat fast food! I figure it will have good facts and info I can share with people when they ask me about veganism and stuff.

Dear Shanin: I am an author from Massachusetts. My debut novel HUNTING THE KING was published this past year. If you enjoy reading a good thriller like DA VINCI CODE, you may enjoy HUNTING, too. HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O’Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: “Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can’t come too soon.” Molly O’Dwyer is an in-your-face woman with a mysterious background who’s about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

To get a good sense of how powerful the book is, check out the heart-pounding book trailer on YouTube or on my web site at www.peterclenott.com. It is like watching a preview for an exciting movie. The novel is equally exciting.

You can find it on Amazon.com, Borders, Barnes & Noble, or your local library or independent bookstore. I hope you’ll take a look. And let me know what you think.

    Thanks. Peter.

Thank you for your response about The Scarlett Letter. Your response helped to convince me that the book probably will interest me and I have now ordered the book. Thanks again.

Hey Shanin, did you ask about The Demon in the Freezer? It's not quite as scary as The Hot Zone, but equally riveting reading, as far as subject matter goes. I thought it less focused than Hot Zone -- was sometimes unsure about which disease was the topic.

OH dang, I hadn't thought of that.. Probably a good idea. Although at this point she isn't the one doing the reading technically. Once she starts reading books on her own I think that's an awesome idea!!! I mean the brainiac was in the reading program last summer at the library! hahaha.

It was VERY interesting. I like reading about the unusual so I found it really fascinating. It not only talks about the conditions the mutants suffer with but why. It tells what the genetic issues are. I recommend it for sure.

It will come in due time. All I can do, is to persuade him through my actions. The English teacher on my team is very much like me, same morals and all; so at times, I'm sure, it is like we are tag teaming him. I am up here visiting Gina; I am not sure when I am leaving, probably some time between Sunday and Tuesday.

I actually haven't read it. It was supposed to be added to my 'I plan to read' shelf, but I guess it didn't. I like all Palahniuk books--less for the wackiness of the story and more for the questions he raises about society and his progressive style of writing. I would imagine it's a fun and quick read like the rest of his books.
