Hey there, currently I am a stay at home Mom of two beautiful children in deep backwoods Alberta about an hour away from the closest town (as in Mile Zero of the Alaska Highway is our regular stomping grounds). Before that I was a legal assistant and actively involved in the drama and arts and dog rescue.

    I'm glad to hear that you like GLPPS. I've recommended it to a lot of people, but I've had a few say that the book is hard to get into in the beginning - don't like the epistolary style, or keeping track of all the characters, but once they get into it, they really like it.
    By the way, have to say that I find this site too much trouble to go into very often - I'd prefer to just read. Not a techno person at all, and figuring how to get in and move around in here is not my thing. There should be an introductory tour wizard type thing for this.
    Hope things go better with the library budget nex time. Perhaps you should try to get on the board, or better yet, council to try and get more funding!

    Read the Art of Racing in the Rain - lovely book, but rather heart-wrenching, at least for me. I loved the dog's view of his own small world, though.

    The one you're talkin about is THE LAST OF THE BREED. It's a masterpiece by L'Amour...I have it in my collection.

    Hi Amber. Shelfari is great! The only downside is your "to be read" pile gets bigger and bigger. I have so many books I want to read and the list grows with each new friend. I agree Shelfari broadens your reading list. I browse members and friend request peopel with 10 or more books in common. That way I know we have some similar tastes and I may like something else on their shelf.

    Hi, I'm still trying to find my way around on this. I am definitely not good with machines, little Luddite that I am - I'd really rather be reading than writing about reading! Did up a post, so you can see my rather poor reports.

    Thanks, Amber! I'll have to check it out. Are you getting around shelfari okay? The bad thing about shelfari is I find even more books I want to read. My list just keeps growing and growing. LOL
