What do you think of the new design? Be honest now...
Check out Shelfari Insiders...
Hey Mike, check out the new conversation view. You can reply to a note and see the previous conversations you've had with that user. We'll be tweaking it a bit more soon. We're releasing in chunks. {;o)Hope you're doing well!
I just noticed that you're no longer running the madhouse of Shelfari Insiders. Were we too much for you? ;)
Hi Mike,If you haven't already, I was wondering if you might be able to help out your fellow Play Book Tag members. I'm organizing a game which is going to be a spinoff of Family Feud, except all the questions have to deal with Young Adult Books (this month's tag), but in order to play, I need to collect at least 50 survey responses. If you have time, could you please fill out the survey at the following URL:http://www.surveymethods.com/EndUser.aspx?D9FD9188D8938D89It's only eight questions or so.Many thanks, Anita
Mike, I did a 7 Habits course through work about 12 years ago and then read the book. The book affirmed the things that had stuck in my head during the course and I believe it laid some valuable tracks ahead of me for the future. I'm one of the people who've read the book, AND remember parts of it even now, and the overall tools it has given me have helped me overcome obstacles with a positive outlook and reach my goals both personal and career related. Give it a shot, what have you got to lose?
as to the question u asked if finishing strong was a good book? i'll answer by saying i've read it and it transformed my life. just give it a trial and you'll not regret it. it's a must read for everybody.
saw that you were asking for reco regarding 7 Habits. ya, it's something that everyone claims to have read but can't remember.
Mike,I noticed that you have Kite Runner on your shelf. If you haven't read "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by this same author I would love to recommend the book to you :)
How come no profile?? How is one to know anything about you?Are you with the CIA, FBI or Witness Protection Program? Or do you work for Shelfari??
That's too funny that we were both in Costa Rica in December; I LOVED it. We went with Backroads (they do cycling and multisport tours) on one of their family trips. Our trip was pretty focused on the Pacific side . . but I'd like to go back and do the volcano. We did mountain biking, hiking, ziplining, and white water rafting . . .saw all four kinds of monkeys and spent one night in the rain forest at an eco-resort. All in all, we just loved it. Hope you did too!!
Hi Mike,I just wanted to drop you a note to welcome you Play Book Tag and to thank you for joining. I had fun browsing your shelf - - I loved Freakanomics (as an ex-econ major), but what really caught my eye was your book on Costa Rica. I just was there in December and loved it! Have you been?At Play Book Tag, our group is very new so we really welcome your input. Our first tag is historical fiction, but even if you don't have time to read a historical fiction book this month, we welcome your comments on the topic! We've got a lot of fun, thought provoking discussions going on where your general knowledge of the genre will totally suffice. At any rate, hope to see you around Play Book Tag!
Hi Mike,I was reading the description of Wikonomics that you have listed and it looks pretty interesting. I don't usually read books about economy, but I loved "Tipping Point". Have you read that one?
Hello mike, i saw the mazing books you have read and i was read the description of some of them ,ilike to add you as friend .bye
hi,nice shelf,we've got one book in common,:)
Mike, Don't know if you are the one I should be asking...but I see you have answered several problems for other people so I am assuming you are the guy!Last semester I used Shelfari with my students. They gave me their e-mail address, I sent an invite to our private group, and they joined. THere did not seem to be any problems. THey were automatically added to my friend list and they didn't have any problems being added to the group. THis time, however, I am having many students with problems. I sent the invites but it seems that they are being added to the Shelfari site but not the group. I am getting e-mails that they have accepted my invite, yet they are not added to the group. I can go to their homepages and even on their homepage it shows that they are not a part of any groups. I asked them to look and see if there was something on their homepage asking them to accept or decline joining the group, but they say there is not. Any ideas??
Hi Mike susan from nz, thanks to your book choice I will be reading about not making ends meet in america(that is something that we don't associate with the USA although we here about"stuggling actors/actresses", I am also quite surprised to see someone so young have a diverse and interesting range of reading, good on you, take care, susan
I did already but is has change nothing but here goes--it is a book of complete works by Paul Lawrence Dunbar--a YELLOW BOOK FROM THE EARLY 70'S I THINK IT WAS--HOPE YOU CAN HELP--THANKS
Just a question...I can't seem to be able to see the rest of people's profiles. When I click on "more" nothing happens. Any suggestions? Thanks so much in advance!
OK - I know I'm being thick here. But how do you send a message to your friends at Shelfair. I don't see a place to type a message for friends from my bookshelf.
