I enjoy being Cassie the dog's human. Have the best fiance who thinks my being addicted to books is way better than any alternative. A former psychology major, i have spent the last 13 years in the hard science of computer and electronic repair. The books on my shelf are a mirror of my mind. I often get hooked on then bored with a random subject... more »

Hi Larry, I'm glad you enjoyed BRAVE MEN'S BLOOD! Your support means a lot to me being that this was the first novel I wrote completely myself. Next, I hope to tackle the 190th Pennsylvania Regiment using Sergeant Curtis and Boone Crossmire from the original Bucktail series as the main characters. It depends upon how much info is available on the 190th. Best wishes, Bill

Hi Larry, Thanks for the kind words. I hope you enjoy BRAVE MEN'S BLOOD. It was the first novel I wrote without a co-author. In some ways it was tougher. In other ways it was easier. I still got the fire to write historical fiction because I learn so much each time I do a new book. It's like going back to college for a few months. Best wishes, Bill Robertson

After all you've done to spread the word about the Bucktail series, I thought you might like a personalized copy of The Bucktail Brothers of the Fighting 149th. Thanks again! I know what you mean about things being crazy. I feel like I'm on roller skates most of the time!

Glad to have you for a friend here, too, and that you are enjoying my new book. Recently I appeared on "Conversations," a TV talk show filmed at Mansfield University. The show has now been uploaded to YouTube, if you'd like to check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjAgre9uIyE. I discuss the writing of the Bucktail series and the history of the regiment. Thanks for your interest in the Bucktails!

They grow up so fast. Jackson is full grown now, and quite spoiled. His favorite game is retrieving anything.....over and over again.

The collection turned out to be a mixed bag for me. Overall I gave it 3 Stars. The individual stories ranged from 2 to 4 stars. Some were riveting and a couple could barely keep my interest. Overall I really liked the character of Kane. He definitely came across as a badass. I didn't quite get your Mr Magoo reference to him, but that image totally cracked me up. You raised an excellent point about things happening to and around Kane instead of him being the catalyst. He struck me more as some sort of divine witness who was destined to roam the world and show up at certain critical events in his era. I would have like to seen more stories focusing around his moral struggle of using the powerful rod that was given to him by his shaman blood brother. I did appreciate the biography info on REH at the end of the novel. It is truly sad to think about all of the stories he could have written had he not ended his life at such a young age.

Thanks so much! I'll check it out, too. I'm using One Year Bible On-Line because it had the choice of chronological order(never knew Job and Abraham were probably around the same time) and it also had commentary in the same place...

Ha, yeah go figure. Not sure what breed mine is, but I have a feeling she's not the "younger version" since she's pushing about 13.

Good points. It is a pretty blurry line. I've always kind of thought of pulp as the stories that originated in the old 10 cent mags, but then again I totally think of Tarzan and John Carter as pulp as well. Oh well we can keep it pretty broad, years down the road if we get hundreds of members and thousands of group books we can worry about having more guidelines for what qualifies lol.
