Thanks so much for accepting my friend request. While I have you here, I was wondering . . . would you be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Dear Sara: I hope the book I am about to recommend will not be one of those that ends up a terible recommendation. Primarily, because the book is mine. It's called HUNTING THE KING. It just hit the bookstores three weeks ago. The main character is an archaeologist, which may be of interest to you, as ytou are in the archaeology group. Here are the details:

HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O'Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: "Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can't come too soon." Molly is an in-your-face woman with a mysterious past who is about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

To get a good sense of how exciting the novel is check out the heart-pounding trailer for the book at http://www.kunati.books/hunting-the-king-peter-clenott/. Or you can view it on YouTube or my web site at http://www.peterclenott.com.

The sequel, TRACES OF A LIFE, has already been completed, as well, the first two books in a series with Molly O’Dwyer. In TRACES, Molly begins uncovering her own past while digging on an island in Boston harbor. Murder and cover-up and a mysterious past that many people, even those closest to her, don’t want revealed.

If you have the chance, please let me know what you think. Thanks.

The Devil in the White City is an interesting read as it includes thrills, historical fiction, architecture, and more. If you are interested in finding out what life was like during this time period, I would definitely recommend this book.

I don't have any books on my shelf for all kinds of wonderful reasons. #1 I don't know how. #2 I hadn't really thought about doing it. #3 I'm on Shelfar so I can communicate with you even more than I was before. #4 I like seeing the books you're interested in. #5 Number 4 is important when Christmas and your birthday roll around. #6 I'm too lazy

Aha! OK; I missed that 'wish list' designation. If you've any affection for Dante, and his life and work, then 'Dante and Gentucca' is a treat.

Alright. I like scathing, esp. if my lifespan is wasted in reading trash, and esp. since there are so many wonderful books to be read. But alas, I find it hard to not finish a book begun, and that means suffering. BTW, are we the only two who've read 'Dante and Gentucca'? I've tried to find Barbeau's complete novel from which that book is excerpted, but no luck.
