My current avatar is an old photo of a much younger version of me on the steps of the El Castillo pyramid at Chichen Itza.

I consider the books on my shelf part of my intellectual DNA. I have read them over the course of nearly half a century and many I remember little or nothing about. Regardless, at one time, I absorbed some of the essence of each and my thinking was forever influenced by them.
