How did you enjoy Walking the Bible? I know you gave it four stars but what did you like about it? It sounds interesting to me.

Time to do some research into Jackson's book on BEER? I enjoy this site as much or more for the reminders of books long since read & almost totally forgotten as for new authors/books. Well back to work. Later.

Hi - just wanted to let you know we're seeking nominations for the quarterly read in the History Non-Fiction group. Please feel free to nominate something...the quarter doesn't begin until July so there's a bit of time to decide. Just wanted to let you know since you were one of the folks who replied that you were open to the idea.

I was just intrigued by Benjamin's life in politics during the civil war era and before he was essentially forced to flee the country. Although he had an unhappy marriage, his estranged wife sat to it that he was buried in a Catholic cemetery in France.

I haven't yet begun to read "The Orientalist." I have, however, read "The Girl from the Golden Horn", which is the book that Lev Nussimbaum wrote under the name Kurban Said. I found that novel very interesting.
