    Eldala

    by Michelle Gregory
    • Rated 5 stars

Truly an amazing story! You find yourself completely immersed in this world where Eldala means a connection on a level so deep you can't get this story out of your head. The characters range from royalty to warriors and it is truly destined to be new fantasy classic. If you haven't read it-I really don't know what you're waiting for.

This is one of my favorite books of all time! I love the entire read, the journey and especially the descriptions. I always feel as if somehow, it's me inside of there and going along on this adventure. I highly reccommend it to anyone who is looking to encourage themselves on their spiritual journey.

  • The pH Miracle: Balance Your Diet, Reclaim Your Health
    • Rated 5 stars

A great book, but requires that you have the time to sit down and read it cover to cover and to reread any parts that don't make sense right away. The concept of eating a PH tailored diet is extremely interesting and with the studies and testimonies they have to prove this, a few changes in diet can't hurt. I enjoyed reading this to see what all the hype was about and was pleasantly pleased to find that information was good and the changes are easy to adapt to. A good book. I'd recommend it.

  • Zenda 1: Zenda and the Gazing Ball (Zenda)
    • Rated 5 stars

As the first book in the Zenda series, I can say that I loved it! I enjoyed the light read and following around this delightful MC as she tried to fix something and learned a valuable lesson in patience instead. I enjoyed the descriptions and the explanations that didn't bury this tale with a bunch of backstory and history, but instead had things like her flower crowns, and the gazing balls. This is definitely a new look on 'fantasy' books. I highly reccomend it!

  • Zenda 7: The Astral Summer (Zenda)
    • Rated 5 stars

Just happened to see this book in passing and the cover caught my eye. I spent the next thirty minutes reading it from cover to the cover and was so disappointed when I couldn't find any others in the same series. The book was funny, light hearted and the undertones of friendship are just right. The settings and descriptions let you know for sure that you're in a fantasy world, but the Characters, Zenda is a delightful heroine and I love her friend Persuaja, a great book!

Read this. Was extremely sad. The hope at the end is so faint, I almost think I miss it. The story, writing, overall, is excellent, the story itself, is just so incredibly sad to think of a young girl losing everything and having to witness it all, in order to save her life by being silent. The fact that it is based on a true story is even more kudos to the author for finding the sliver of transparency that makes the story come alive. A good read, but sad. Try to read it in the afternoon, or you'll puzzle over the whole thing all day. I did.

  • Spies and Lies (Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Supermystery)
    • Rated 5 stars

This is one of my most favorite supermysteries with Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. It features my favorite elements, of spy-thrilling and very mysterious. The dialouge was especially entertaining and I enjoyed seeing Nancy get more 'into' things than just blending in as she usually does. The Hardy Boys do their fair share of work, but they seem to fit the story really well and they are there for Nancy when she needs them. There is the slightest hint of romance in here, but in the end, Nancy handles it just fine and we are glad to see it. A pretty good read, if you like the old-fashioned Nancy Drew and Hardy boys slam togethers. This one is a personal favorite.

  • Kathleen: The Celtic Knot (Girls of Many Lands)

Read this book just because I wanted to read everything in the Girls of many lands series. Kathleen's story was one I enjoyed reading, particularly for her spunk and determination. Even though her family cannot afford to send her to take lessons for the one thing that she loves, she finds a way into the hearts of her teachers and even though she is in a large family, she is yet the loner, standing alone. I love how well the author illustrates that sometimes it's not 'everything' that we want or need, it's the little things, like how they made her a dancing costume out of...well, I won't spoil the ending. A great, somewhat historical, read.

  • Help, I Can't Stop Laughing!: A Nonstop Collection of Life's Funniest Stories
    • Rated 5 stars

Gave my grandmother this book when she was recovering from surgery, but couldn't help reading some of it first. I ended up reading the entire book out and then sending it to her. I got a call a few days later and she said the book was just great and that even sitting down by herself, reading it made her laugh out loud. Not a whole lot that can do that. ^_^ A truly fun read with plenty to make you smile and laugh, it's one of those books you can't keep forever though, you just have to pass it on because you know it will make someone else smile. Enjoy the read!

  • His Princess: Love Letters from Your King (His Princess)
    • Rated 5 stars

Loved this book! Each time I read it, something new touches my heart and I am amazed to see how much my King truly loves me. The short passages are great and usually trail through my head during the day, offering the encouragement I need and being the perfect way for me to end a busy day. The verses are also very well matched. I often end up journaling my prayers after reading my page for the day. A wonderful book!
