I work in a bookstore, so I read a lot! What I don't buy, I'm able to borrow. Nothing makes me sadder than when someone comes into the store, buys a gift for some one and then tells me "Oh, I don't read." Really? I wouldn't admit that. Reading is the best form of entertainment on the planet and I don't think books (printed in ink on paper)...more »

Definitely has a deep south, LONG HOT SUMMER kind of a feel. It's good that you never really know who's "good" and who's "bad".

Grisham has returned to his overly complicated plot days of THE PELICAN BRIEF. While thoroughly beliveable, it's not necessarily enjoyable. This one is for die-hard Grisham fans only.

Yes, it does sort of connect to the WIZARD OF OZ, but don't read this book expecting it to be light and airy. Dark, troubling and brooding, it raises more questions than it answers. But it is a definite must read. Not an easy read, but very worthwhile.

Another romance with an unexpected twist. And what makes it different is what makes it great.

We won't discuss how much I paid for my copy on ebay when this book was between printings. But for the true Brockmann fan, it is a must read. We use the word "hero" so easily, until we realize that her characters are the true thing.

One of my favorite roamnces ever. I read this book twice a year as a "pick me up." Reminds us that all families are not bond by blood, some are formed in the heart.

The story of growing up autistic from a first person point of view. Helps to drive home the point that different is not bad and autistics are not all like Rain Man. It gives hope to every parent of an autistic child.

You have to REALLY appreciate the werewolf legends to like this book. It was only so-so for me.

A great, almost modern, twist on the BEAUTY AND THE BEAST story. Our hero is flawed and different, but not quite a beast. The heroine must come to see that true love comes in all forms. A great read.

Robin and Anne's story -- the foundation for the family that all the other Kurland books are based on. We finally see where the love they passed onto their children came from. Lovely and touchy and romantic. Everything a great book is supposed to be.
