Welcome to my Shelf! This is an online component to my first grade classroom library, in Alexandria, Virginia.

A very SPECIAL WELCOME to my classroom students, parents, families and friends. Thank you for taking the time to peek at the library online. This will hopefully give you the opportunity to select "just right" books that interest you and your loved ones to choose each week from the lending library. There are many other books in our physical library, but Shelfari did not have them listed, so maybe I will get a chance to figure out how to load them manually.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions. The purpose of this online "Shelf" is for YOU! I hope that you enjoy, and choose different kinds of books that you will read together and share in my love of language and reading.

The more you read, the better your speed! Practice is one of the strongest predictors to reading fluency and comprehension. Parents, if you would like to come in to the classroom before or after school to select additional books for your children, please just let me know.
