    Hi Mary,

You asked me about The Alienist and I would say it is rather dark and I can only take small amounts of time with it.
I love turn of the century reads that provide, for me, a new look at that time period.
Since New York was a center unto itself for vicious crime in this time period,
I shouldn't be surprised about what I read.
It was the "alienist" concept that peaked my interest first.
I wanted to know societies concept of a psychologist or psychiatrist in this time frame.
    ---------------
I also wanted to ask if any of your books will be available in paperback.
From what I've read of them (at the bookseller), I think they would be interesting reads.
    -------------
And finally I've taken a few titles from your shelf and would like to have you as a "friend"
    My friendship request will follow.

Yes, Geneseo was Library Science. My husband got his library masters there. Geneseo is about 40 miles south of Rochester. I think they closed the Library school, but it's been 36 years since I've been there so I'm not positive, just an "I think I heard somewhere."

Hi, thanks for adding me as a friend. At which branch of SUNY were you an educator? I'm A SUNY-Geneseo dropout from many, many years ago.

Mary, My bookstore is in Lafayette California, which is in the San Francisco Bay Area. You could check out our website. We've had a few problems with it, but I'm pretty sure it's up and running now. We have upwards of 150 private bookclubs that are registered with our store. Books for bookclubs is about 75% of our sales!
    cheers,
    Linda
