Happy belated Birthday!I had a short down time period, but I am feeling well. We vacationed in the beginning of August at my brother's farm in Wisconsin. While we were there we saw the tall ships coming through. They were beautiful! Made me think of pirates! At the farm, there is no cell service, no internet, no cable or satellite. It was so quiet, except for sounds of nature. We had a truly relaxing time.How are you doing? What's the busy-ness (if you care to share)? Get back to me...Take care of you!

Well, like I said, I waited for all of them from the library...I haven't read Carrie Vaughn, but I will check her books out and see if I might like them. Some series books could be read as stand-alones, so you never know what number it actually is!Actually my birthday is June 9 - thanks for the early wishes! Some members of my family send cards out on the first of the month to everyone who has a birthday that month! So even if out birthday was on the 28th, we would still get the cards at the beginning of the month!! I thought it was silly, but it's better than forgetting to send one at all! LOL!Later...
Feeling much better. Keeping real busy here putting all my books on my shelf I read while recovering from...well, from everything!Family is important...we all understand that. I missed most of yesterday on Shelfari because we had birthday party for a niece and a nephew. I loved taking my kids to the library when they were younger. I got them their own cards as soon as they could sign their names! It helped them be responsible for the books they took out. We had a "library" shelf where all the books from the library were kept so they wouldn't be lost. It's kind of funny, all the books I own and none of my children really like them!?! My daughter is getting into the paranormal romance genre and likes the "older" horror genre. My oldest son reads a lot of Dave Barry and some other odd books. My youngest is not much of a reader, but he does like army stories and sometimes reads graphic novels.I know what you mean about being on a waitlist. I got onto a Laurell K. Hamilton kick and put a hold on the Anita Blake series books. All of them came in, except for one, in the middle of the series because other library members have a hold on it!! Grrrr!! So I am reading other books in the meantime.Also, got some birthday $$ so I e-mailed my used book store a list of books I want to buy...we will see what they have.Well, I know you get busy with a lot of things, so I am grateful for you responding!Later...xxoo

You come up with some great pics. Did you ever watch her when she hosted a show on Friday nights? Can't remember the name of the show but it had scary movies. I loved it. Always wanted big boobs and a dress like hers LOL. I wonder how old she is?
