    I submitted an application to be a children's writer-in-residence for the library here in Boston. It's for emerging young adult novelists. I hope to redraft my childrne's novel so that it will be ready to be published. I will rewrite the novel even if I'm not selected for the fellowship and I found that deciding which 15 pages to submit as well as writing a proposal about what I'd work on over the 9 month residence was really helpful. Keep writing!

    You mentioned that you're having trouble finding this book - even in your local public library. Have you tried requesting it through a statewide interlibrary loan program? That's how I found it.... ;) HTH

    The book UGLY by Constance Briscoe,find ocpies of it on campusi.com, put the name and the author in and there are a lot of available copies and the sequel to it is on there as well.
