    Hey Sariska, You've just added Never Knowing! I'm nearly finished it and couldn't wait til the end to email the author! (I do that occasionally just as a thank you for a great read - I just think an author deserves that positive feedback, given the long process of writing and then getting a book to print, right?) Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! I heard back from Chevy this morning and she sounds really nice. I told her about shelfari, too.
    I'm really curious about Scumble too. Another shelfari friend told me a bit about it and it sounds intriguing.

    Yes, it is very awesome. :) I think it is an important day but sadly, not too many people know about it. :(

    Thanks for understanding. Yes, our house is very old (about 100 years) and the roof is quite weak.
    It is sunny right now so I don't worry but we are going to get more rain over the weekend. We have to set buckets out to catch the water. :( Sorry to hear about your home as well.

    Yes, I am off from work this week. I have been working to clean house all week. My mom is happy about it. I plan to take one day to rest however before going back to work. Much rest is needed!
    Hey, India's Independence Day is this Monday 15th right? That is wonderful! We had ours on July 4th; celebrating our independence from Britain.

    Oh no.... Please be careful my friend. Lately, we have gotten quite a bit of rain too
    but not as much as you. But our roof leaks when it rains and our basement gets wet. :(

    Also, I wanted to say Happy Friendship Day to you. It was last Sunday (7th). I believe that India celebrates this day along with the U.S. :)

    Hi Sariska,
    I see you have Babyshoes on your shelf - have you read it yet? I just recently finished it and recommend you give it a go. A great coming of age story with very realistic internal conflicts. Good to see the outcomes are not always perfect but a very satisfying ending. Would love to chat about it when your done!

    Thanks my friend. :) It's okay. I have the same problem sometimes. Amazon wants Shelfari users to connect with them for some reason but I never do. I want to keep my 2 accounts separate.

    Yes, I had a few deaths in my family and my mom was very upset so I do what I can to help her. Sometimes it is too much to handle all at once. But I am doing a little better now. Thanks for asking!
    I did see some of it, yes. I recorded it so I can see the whole thing later. I agree. What I did see was very elegant. England must be very nice to visit; probably way different from U.S. :)

    Hi there!
    I started Gone, but couldn't really get into it. It did remind me, though of John Marsden's series of YA novels, the first of which is called Tomorrow When the War Began (also a movie just recently released). I rented the movie on dvd and got bored quickly I must admit, though the book was great!
    Maybe I'll try Gone again sometime. I've just been so busy and maybe the timing wasn't good. Plus I have no patience at all with a story!

    Hi Sariska, You've added some interesting-looking books. I see you have some of Michael Grant's books on there. I was planning to read Gone. I'm not into fantasy or science fiction, but Michael was in NZ recently and he made his books sound compelling. Do you think I'd like them?

    Yes, I understand. I just had a mid-term not long ago. Have not had much time for myself. Not to worry. Once you finish school, you will be dancing beautifully again as i am sure you always have been... I can see it! :)

    Hey Saru, it's been a while since we spoke on here. This is probably the best way to contact me as I am not a big Facebook user. I like Shelfari so much better. :)
