    Hi! I love Robin McKinley too - unfortunately I haven't been able to find any other authors with a similar style. Naomi Novik's "Temeraire" series is good fantasy, though, that you might enjoy.

    After seeing your bookshelf, Sara, I see we share a love for many of the same books and authors. One book I did not even know existed is Sandition by Austen herself! I will definitely read that. Also, The secret Diary of Marie A looks good.

    You'll love The Mad Marquis. It's the only one of two books she wrote and is worth the time.
    Could not find the video you referred me to...there were several there at YouTube.
    Yes, the ending bothered the "he__" out of me on Persuasion...it reminded me of a Disney ending! lol... Especially since the author's "HEA" was perfectly acceptable!
    I'll keep looking for that video.

    I loved the PERSASION story on Masterpiece Theater last night but they put a different HEA at the end and that was so ridiculous! Austen wrote her own HEA but they changed it to a fairy tale ending...it didn't fit!

    I liked Rendezvous by Quick the best so far!

    Thats for the buys on Blood Moon and The Brotherhood. I have been excited about getting the NOR Award nomination for The Brotherhood, but fear with Ward and Feehan in there, I am way out there! Nice to be nominated. The Ravening is out in Feb 2008 (which means end of Jan). The other two are really leading to this one. Milosh is SEXY!!

    Hey Sara, no I didn't see Highlander on Saturday- I didn't even know it was on. Most movies made about books are disappointing- I just don't know why they can't follow the authors vision more.
