Hi Sara! I'm sorry I just saw this note you left me, I haven't been reading much lately, unfortunately.
I liked The White Queen because it covers a very interesting time period that I wasn't familiar with before, but I don't think it was as good as her Tudor series. I'd recommend it though if you like Phillipa Gregory. I think she's a lot of fun to read!
How are you? What are you currently reading?
i've just finished 'little women' and it was a really good and lovely read. :)
I was definitely more into A Student of the Weather by Elizabeth Hay (I just finished it!) because I've been quite homesick lately and the scenes of rural Saskatchewan described reminded me of my hometown in Southern Alberta. Thanks for asking!
why thank you! you have a lovely shelf yourself!
It's a bit dull. I've been stuck a fourth of the way through for months.
Main character is necrophil - he's sexually attracted to dead people. While this is a huge taboo the story is very well written and he's depicted as such a gentle soul. I can't find the novel on Amazon, I read it in electronic format a while ago.
hi :) you definitely have a variety of good books too!
It was my favorite Chuck Palahniuk book, but I know some people didn't like it very much. I had read Fight Club and Choke before I read this. I think it's one of the easier ones to read so I would definitely recommend it.
It's so good! It looks long but it's a surprisingly easy read.. it's so good. I would recommend it
yep, i read for one more day. in my opinion it wasn't as good as the five people you meet in heaven but still a good read. :]
Thanks for the request! You have great taste. I like what you've got on your shelf, quite the array of books. Impressive.
Uhh ... now that's a hard one ... favourite one from the ones that are currently pending to be finished, or those that are already completed. If you're referring to the former then... well I guess I have to say Kavalier and Clay. I think Chabon's use of language is marvellous and his plots are, at least until now, engaging and well thought out. Infinite Jest is a close second ... but ... hmm ... Foster Wallace has a very hurried and overbearing prose ... reminds me a little of James Joyce!
And yours? :)
I haven't finished reading it yet. Its good so far, though a little redundant.
hello Miss! Thanks for adding me, your bookshelf looks great too! XO
