Santosh

Hi! I am Civil Servant, working at Delhi.
I guess I started reading even before i could walk. I guess I am one of those original geeks who used to hide under the covers and read with torchlight as I used to get shouted at otherwise. It did not help my eyes any..............

Hi Santosh, just a note to say that Devi Mandir ships to India all the time. Their books are worth it being the best translations and explanations.

Have fond memories of Delhi, where I did my schooling, went to college and also had long work stint as journalist and also, as a govt. employee in PIB. No longer in tounch with most of the officials I used to know and work with. Used to frequent British Council Library; and bought almost all my books from pavement spreads in Karoldbagh, Daryagunj in Delhi; and whereever else I was posted.

Hi...finally finished witch of portobello. Different narrative style and quite a fast read. But I am still wondering if this one had a message to convey?....Now on to death of vishnu by manil suri. the book mocks Indians all the while.....okay, there is humour, but it is a trifle dismal. have you read it?

Actually I was like that too while in school and college! Alas, later life becomes one big blur....no time for reading and all time spent in raising kid, slogging at work, building house, walking the tightrope between work and home.....alas, alas, alas......I used to write all the books I have read in a diary. I still have it and now every weekend, I put some of it on my shelf. And I am finally back to at least 'part-time' reading!
    :) Cheers!
