I recently started with Terry Pratchett's Disc World series 'n it looks like I'll be reading a quite of lot of Pratchett in the coming few months.
Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker series was great in the beginning , but the same style of writing tired me after 3 books 'n had to drag myself through the last 2 books.
Tolkien's Hobbit was a great read savoured at a comfortable pace. But I couldn't say the same for the Lord of the ring series. That one took me 3 months to finish.
Used to read fiction for the masses like Ludlum, Grisham, Puzo, Crichton, King etc earlier, not anymore.
Absolutely loved Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.
With respect to serious literature (Classical Fiction) like Foucault's Pendulum - What can I say? I enjoyed reading the book, but I'm not so sure as to whether I'll read it again.
I still love going back to comics like Asterix, TinTin, Archie , 'n of course superhero titles like Wolverine, JLA, Batman , Spiderman and Superman.
'n of course Science does make an interesting read if you are in the mood as was demonstrated by Brief History of Time 'n 'Surely you 're joking Mr Feynman' in my case.
Ahah.. lest I not forget Mrs Rowling.. I did finish reading the entire series :)
