Ah, 'Geek Love.' Fantastic novel, and all around great taste in novels. What types of stories do you write?
you know, it's times like this one really pines for safari-based spellcheck... oh well ;)
Yes, ecclectic is probably a good summation of my random shelf. It's just been so much fun on here over the past few weeks, remembering so many books I'd forgotten and really loved. As an adult you remember them, and suddenly the stories seem so much richer and apt then perhaps what you got out of them as the person you once were. It's been recharging my batteries. Good luck with the writing, from your reviews I'll bet you have a great insight for it. As for structure, I highly reccamend "Story" by Robert (bob) McKey - coincidentally he is in NY for his writing seminar in October, and if you can do it, it's by far the best writing workshop I've every attended. Definitely worth the money and it attacks the very problem with character and structure that you mention.
I enjoy your reviews.
Ciao bella! Glad to see your pretty face around here.
