Gib and the Gray Ghost

“I absolutley looooved this book, even though I'm not a horse person. My friend got it for me for Christmas, that and the first one, and I emidietly liked it. I'm not so sure if I spelt that right, but who cares. It is the second book in the series, and he gets taken back into a family. And one night, after he's done his chores, he sees a white horse, in the middle of a snowstorm, hence the name, Gib and the Gray Ghost. This begins a wonderful book, letting you get drawn in not letting youput down the book.”

Mr. Popper's Penguins

“I love this story, and have read it a couple of times already, and will again if I could. Mr. Popper loves this explorer guy, and sends him a letter. As an answer, he sends a penguin! The penguin gets lonely so somebody sends him a lady penguin, and they lay a bunch of eggs. All of the penguins get famous.”

Strawberry Girl (1945)

“A new family has moved into the neighborhood! They have decided that they are going to grow strawberries, but their neighbors say that strawberries will never grow in that state. The two families don't really get along together very well. At the end of the book they learn to like each other. I really liked this book a lot and recommend it to everyone!”

Captain Courageous

“The boy is a bit snobby (and rich) at the beggining of the story, but when he is thrown overboard, everything changes (except the money part). He is taken in by a fishing boat, and is toughened up.”
